THE URBAN SAINT - The Harry Lehotsky Story
Book Promotion, Launch and Project Support
With the vast scope of information and public opinion about the life and work of Harry Lehotsky, it was our job to execute an exciting yet understandable book promotion leading up to a memorable book launch event. We were to mobilize the public interest by identifying a clear message, encouraging them to learn more about his work, as well as purchase the book and share it with others. The goal was to drive book sales but ultimately to motivate individuals to make a difference in their own communities. The seven month campaign was broken into three phases including Pre-launch Activities, a Public Promotion Plan, and Book Launch Event. Some of the activities leading up to the launch included press releases and interviews, the execution of a media awareness event with City dignitaries, development of pre-order opportunities through a teaser sample book and order form, website creation and online ordering capabilities, promotion at an international conference with 1000 participants using a contact table, bag stuffers and stage recognition to generate interest, as well as the design and set-up of 3 week community interpretive gallery at the launch venue. The Urban Saint has had a warm reception, exceptional sales numbers and can be purchased online or at many local Winnipeg bookstores.
